XR Series

XR series crossed roller slewing ring bearings offer a variety of solutions including high stiffness and low rotational torque within a minimal envelope. XR series slewing ring bearings are ideal when four-point contact ball bearings cannot meet the running performance requirements of torque and stiffness.

Design Features

The internal structure consists of cylindrical rollers with a V-groove in each circle. The rollers are oriented with alternating axes of rotation. Bearings positioned in this manner can accommodate all combinations of radial, thrust and moment loads. Rotational torque is less than a four-point contact ball design because each roller transfers load in only one direction, and the roller-ball contact area and geometry are larger, providing greater rigidity and rigidity.

A roller roughly the same size as a sphere has a greater load carrying capacity. However, since not all rollers face in one direction, they have less thrust and moment load capacity than four-point ball bearings.

Gear teeth or other drive mechanisms can be provided on the inner or outer support ring, and a hole pattern of your choice can be added for bearing retention.
