TR series three row roller slewing ring bearings offer the highest capacity for a given diameter. When XR series or DT series bearings cannot meet your stiffness and capacity requirements, consider TR series slewing rings, which provide a wide range of solutions for radar, crane, mining shovel and other applications.
Design Features
TR series slewing ring bearings have three independent rows of rollers oriented perpendicular to the direction of loads transmitted through the bearing. Their orientation is chosen to optimize capacity, provide low frictional resistance and minimize deflection.
The top and bottom rows of rollers transfer any opposing thrust loads and in combination transfer any moment loads, while the middle row transfers any radial loads. The rollers, separator configuration for each roller and mating raceway are sized to suit the load or other application requirements.
To achieve these performance advantages, the support structure must meet higher stiffness and lower flatness requirements than similarly sized XT or DT series slewing ring bearings. Gear teeth or other transmission mechanisms can be provided on the inner or outer support ring, and hole pattern options can be added for bearing retention.
TR series slewing ring bearings have been successfully used in heavy-duty applications requiring additional stiffness and capacity, including:
