RK series slewing ring bearings provide a variety of solutions for applications where large diameter and low weight are critical. RK Series slewing bearings feature flanged cross-sections on one or both rings, reducing weight and providing equipment designers with unique flexibility to accommodate various configurations of adjacent mounting structures and bolting arrangements.
Design Features
The internal configuration is a deep-groove Gothic arched raceway, providing four points of contact with the balls, enabling the bearing to simultaneously accommodate radial, axial and moment loads. Spacer balls are alternated with load balls for low rotational torque and superior performance in applications involving oscillatory motion. Integral face bearing seals are available to help keep contaminants out.
RK Series slewing rings are available in gearless, internal gear and external gear configurations for maximum design flexibility. Gears are an involute stub design with a 20° pressure angle, manufactured to AGMA Q5 quality and backlash allowances from 0.005 to 0.015 inches. RK series slewing table bearings range in size from 20–47 inches OD (500–1200 mm OD).
RK series slewing ring bearing solutions have been successfully used in a variety of light to medium duty applications including:
