MT series heavy-duty slewing ring bearings provide a variety of solutions for applications such as truck cranes, cranes and non-precision industrial tables and positioners, providing the best economy and capacity for a given envelope size.
Design Features
MT Series slewing bearings have a rectangular cross-section and range in size from 4-47 inches OD (100-1200mm). The internal arrangement consists of deep grooved gothic arched raceways with maximum ball complement. This results in a four-point contact design that provides excellent moment, thrust and radial load capabilities. Larger size integral face seal and smaller size non-contact guard help keep contaminants out. These features make the MT Series heavy-duty slewing bearings ideal for a wide range of applications, from light to heavy duty.
MT series slewing ring bearings are available in non-geared (MTO) and externally geared (MTE) configurations. The gears are Fellows Stub Involute up to size MTE-324 and Stub Involute for larger sizes, all manufactured to AGMA Q6 quality. MT Series slewing bearings feature ball joint diameters from 9" to 40" and moment load ratings up to 870,000 ft-lbs.
Availability
MT series slewing rings are usually available from stock, as are mating pinion gear versions through MTE-705.
Application
MT series slewing bearings have been successfully used in a wide range of applications from light to heavy duty. Smaller sizes are great for:
