KH Series

KH series precision slewing rings are designed to provide precise positioning with consistent repeatability in constant rotation, intermittent or oscillating applications. KH slewing bearings offer a wide range of solutions for advanced rotary indexing tables or any design where the bearings interface with other precision mechanical components.

Design Features

The internal configuration is a deep grooved gothic arched raceway, providing four points of contact with the balls, enabling them to withstand radial, moment and thrust loads individually or simultaneously. The use of bore preload provides greater stiffness which, combined with tightly controlled radial and axial runout, provides precise repeatability. Axial run-out is 0.001" TIR and radial run-out is 0.002" TIR on locate diameter. Separators are used to maintain consistent ball spacing, keep friction to a minimum and keep noise to a minimum. Integral face seals are available to help exclude contaminants.

KH series precision bearings are available in non-geared and externally geared configurations. These gears feature full depth involute teeth and are manufactured to AGMA Q8 quality for reduced backlash, more accurate positioning and quieter operation. KH series slewing rings have a rectangular cross-section, are available in sizes ranging from 16–37 inches OD (400–950 mm), and are generally available from stock.

KH series slewing bearings have been successfully used in applications requiring higher precision, including:

  • Precision Rotary Indexing Table
  • radar antenna
  • Satellite Antenna
  • robot
  • Medical Systems and Medical Equipment
  • Machine table
