The DT series utilizes eight point ball bearings to provide maximum load capacity for a given envelope and bolt circle diameter. DT Series slewing rings provide up to 80% higher load carrying capacity than single-row four-point designs of the same diameter and number of bolt turns. However, the DT series has a smaller profile than the three-row drum design.
Design Features
The internal configuration consists of two deep grooved gothic arched raceways, each with a maximum ball allowance, located on the inner and outer rings. This results in a total of eight surfaces that the ball can contact at any time, providing excellent moment, thrust and radial load capacity. Manufactured with precision, the raceways are closely matched to provide a high degree of load distribution. Integral seals are provided to help keep contaminants out.
