Their advantages are longer service life, lower frictional resistance, higher seizure resistance, higher corrosion resistance, higher rigidity, higher temperature resistance (up to 800C), light weight ( 40% of bearing steel), non-magnetic and insulating.

Alumina Balls

Alumina ceramic balls are especially suitable for extremely harsh environments where high temperatures, corrosive and aggressive substances are present. Standard 99.5% alumina ceramic balls have proven performance in abrasive, high temperature and corrosive environments and maintain dimensional stability at temperatures up to 2000°F.

Silicon Carbide Balls

Silicon carbide has many benefits similar to silicon nitride. This includes a substantial weight saving compared to bearing steel. Silicon carbide bearings are best suited for the most toxic and chemically aggressive environments in the world. Silicon Nitride Balls

Silicon nitride balls are harder than steel and can withstand the harshest environments. At 800°C, the strength and hardness are almost unchanged, and its density is 3.20g/cm3, which is almost 1/3 of the weight of bearing steel, so the centrifugal force is small when rotating. Zirconia Balls

Zirconia ceramic balls have high strength and toughness, good wear resistance, high temperature and corrosion resistance, high stiffness, non-magnetic conductivity, electrical insulation. At 600 ℃, the strength and hardness of the zirconia ceramic balls are almost unchanged, the density is 6.00g/cm3, the thermal expansion rate is close to the metals, so it can be used in conjunction with metals.
