Seals/protective covers: Standard industrial seals typically made of nitrile rubber. AUBEARING also provides custom seals made from silicone, Viton®, FKM (fluoroelastomer) suitable for extreme temperature applications.
Temperature capability: Standard cross roller bearings typically operate up to approximately 212°F. AUBEARING's heat treatment processes ensure bearings can operate at higher temperatures.
Lubrication: AUBEARING offers a full range of lubricants to optimize bearing performance in demanding applications such as wet, high or low temperature, vacuum, and low torque conditions.
Cage materials: Options include brass, chrome steel, PEEK, PTFE, among others.
Plating: For applications requiring superior corrosion resistance, AUBEARING provides proprietary coatings for BB series metric ball bearings. This thin, dense chrome plating enhances the corrosion resistance of AISI 52100 to match or exceed AISI 440C stainless steel.
Clearance: Options include C2/CN/C3/C4/C5.
Operating limits:
Bearings are heat stabilized and can operate within a temperature range of -55 to +120°C (–65 to +250°F).
Brass cages can operate at temperatures equivalent to those of bearing rings and balls.
Allowable operating temperature range is –40 to +100°C (–40 to +210°F). Short-term exposure up to 120°C (250°F) is permissible.
