Types of Miniature Bearings with Extended Inner Rings

• Radial miniature extended inner ring bearings can withstand very high radial loads and a small amount of axial load.
• Angular contact extended inner ring bearings can withstand very high radial and axial loads.
• Full complement extended inner ring bearings are characterized by lower maximum speeds but can handle the highest loads.

Materials for Miniature Bearings with Extended Inner Rings

• Chrome steel: Due to its high load capacity and low noise characteristics, chrome steel is the most commonly used material for extended inner ring ball bearings.
• Stainless steel: For applications requiring corrosion resistance, AISI 440c, 216, and 304 stainless steel are commonly used. Stainless steel can withstand high loads and high speeds and also provides rust resistance. Extended inner ring stainless steel miniature bearings come with stainless steel cages and suitable high-temperature lubricants and can be used at constant temperatures up to 250°C or intermittently up to 300°C. Beyond these temperatures, the load capacity of stainless steel decreases, so we recommend using full ceramic bearings for temperatures above 300°C. Stainless steel miniature bearings are suitable for mildly corrosive environments, as steel provides corrosion resistance but is affected by seawater and strong acids or alkalis.

Seals and Shields

Most of AUBEARING's chrome steel miniature bearings are available in open or metal shielded (Z or ZZ) forms. Larger bearings are equipped with rubber or PTFE contact seals (RS or 2RS) or low-friction non-contact rubber seals (RZ or 2RZ). Open bearings use oil lubrication. Shielded or sealed bearings are typically equipped with grease lubrication, suitable for low-speed, low-friction applications.
