Deep Groove Ball Bearings

Design of Deep Groove Ball Bearings

Deep groove ball bearings are ideal for high-speed applications and maintain their precision tolerance during high-speed operation. Their design allows for higher radial and axial loads compared to other ball bearing types, offering maximum versatility. AUBEARING provides a range of deep groove ball bearings in both inch and metric bore sizes, including options with stainless steel, plastic, and ceramic balls. The operating principle of radial deep groove ball bearings involves two raceways with balls rolling in steel or plastic retainers, transferring loads through these low-friction balls. AUBEARING offers over 6000 options for deep groove ball bearings!

Single Row Deep Groove Ball Bearings

Single row deep groove ball bearings come in various styles, from seals and shields to industrial and premium grades. Single row deep groove (SRDG) ball bearings are most commonly used in high-speed applications that demand longevity and critical performance, tolerating slight axial misalignment. These bearings have precision-ground raceways on both inner and outer rings. Deep groove ball bearings are available in single and double row types; double row bearings can handle heavier loads.
As the diameter increases, the load capacity on deep groove ball bearings also increases. AUBEARING's bearing size range spans from miniature bearings with diameters less than 0.1 inches (capable of carrying 7.6 pounds-force (lbf) dynamic load) to large deep groove ball bearings with diameters up to 85 inches (capable of carrying over 285,000 lbf). The operating temperature range for deep groove ball bearings typically ranges between -29°C and 177°C. Deep groove ball bearings are widely used in electric motors, household appliances, automotive motors, office machinery, automation control, garden and household tools, agriculture, pumps, fans, and the food and beverage industry.
Single row deep groove ball bearings are the most widely used type of roller bearings in the world due to their versatility and overall performance. They feature deeper raceways, with the arcs of the inner and outer rings slightly larger than the ball radius. They also have non-separable rings. Their simple and direct basic design offers many advantages:

Highly suitable for high-speed operation
Good radial load capacity
Axial load capacity accepted in both directions
Low torque capacity at startup and running speeds
Can operate with low noise
Virtually maintenance-free

Single row deep groove ball bearings are divided into three numeric series, representing the size and load capacity of each series. They are:
6000 Series Deep Groove Ball Bearings - Ideal for enclosed space applications such as medical diagnostic equipment, flow meters, and anemometers.
6200 Series Deep Groove Ball Bearings - Balance between space and load capacity, ideal for optical encoders, electric motors, and dental hand tools.
6300 Series Deep Groove Ball Bearings - Medium-sized deep groove ball bearings - ideal for applications with heavier load capacity, including electric hand tools industry, industrial blowers, and thermal imaging cameras.

AUBEARING's inch size single row deep groove radial ball bearings are manufactured with standard or industrial-grade designs, produced according to ABEC 1 classification, and equipped with double-lip non-contact seals (2RS) or metal shields (ZZ). Like our other high-quality single row deep groove (SRDG) ball bearings, this series uses Chevron SRI#2 grease lubrication for lifetime lubrication. It's worth noting that Chevron SRI#2 grease is a high-temperature ball and roller bearing lubricant recommended for bearings operating at high speeds.

Inch Size Single Row Deep Groove Ball Bearings

Inch size single row deep groove radial ball bearings are additional products from AUBEARING's inch bore single row deep groove (SRDG) ball bearings. They are similar to our R series inch size single row deep groove radial ball bearings but with different combinations of inch size inner diameter (ID) and outer diameter (OD). These components undergo heat treatment and hardening before assembly to form durable wear-resistant surfaces on balls and ball paths. Retainers and shields are made of cold-rolled steel.

Double Row Deep Groove Ball Bearings

Double row deep groove ball bearings correspond structurally to a pair of single row deep groove ball bearings but have two raceway grooves, each with a row of balls. Because of the larger number of rolling elements, they can withstand higher loads than single row deep groove ball bearings. Double row bearings are used in situations where the load capacity of single row deep groove ball bearings is insufficient. They are also suitable for short shafts supported by only one bearing due to their ability to withstand loads caused by inclination.

AUBEARING manufactures deep groove ball bearings with inner and outer diameter product lines that conform to industry standards, suitable for metric and inch applications. Additionally, special size single row deep groove (SRDG) ball bearings are available in various sizes. Once the correct configuration is chosen, single row deep groove (SRDG) ball bearings are highly effective in various applications and operating conditions. AUBEARING manufactures according to ISO9001 and TS-16949 standards, using vacuum-degassed 52100 bearing steel or 440C stainless steel. Stainless steel radial bearings are corrosion-resistant, which is particularly important in agriculture and the food and beverage industries. Dust shields and lubrication provide protection for the retainer and bearing components between the two raceways, extending bearing life and reducing maintenance required during bearing service life.
